CORAL CT. KITCHEN REMODEL
There comes a day for all of our remodel clients where they are officially ready to change what they’ve been talking about doing for years. We all love our homes but design styles evolve and lifestyles change and we all see different designs that make more sense for ourselves. When we got the call to look a this project the biggest items they noted were: lack of storage, poor flow, and a need to give the house they love a 2nd act.
Like most kitchen remodels…cabinetry plays a HUGE role in the transformation but for this home, moving walls was the initial biggest game changer. By moving walls around we were able to relabel rooms and spaces. Most notable was the straightening of their angled kitchen “cabinet cove” wall. By straightening that wall and squaring off an angled wall in their front entry, we were able to add a LARGE pantry which helped to maximize their storage issue. The 2nd big wall change was removing the dividing wall between the kitchen dinette and the dining room. This helped to create a kitchen that felt like we ADDED square footage. Fresh wood flooring to tie into the existing floors, and a more modern feel helped to tie the newly joined spaces. The goal of remodeling is to use what we have and see how we can make it so much better for our clients.
Love how this one turned out!
